Fans from all generations have long awaited the Nickelback: Get Rollin’ Tour.
The tour started Monday, June 12, in Quebec City and is set to conclude in, according to
Live Nation, Fargo, North Dakota, on Thursday, October 5.
The Get Rollin’ tour has hit some major stops along the way all throughout North
America. Including stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nashville, and many more still planned.
The tour is in support of Nickelback’s 10th studio album, Get Rollin’. This album is the
band’s first studio album in five years, released on November 18, 2022. This tour follows a long line of twelve consecutive sold-out world tours.
Nickelback brought special guests Brantley Gilbert and Josh Ross on this tour. Both
special guests are Country artists, it brings some fans to ask if Nickelback is leaning more into the country scene. However, once looking at the setlist for the tour, it seems like Nickelback will be playing older songs. Many of which held top stops on the Billboard 100.
Nickelback was founded in Hanna, Alberta, in 1995 and became one of the top Canadian
rock bands. During the Juno Awards in March 2023, Nickelback was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. This is nothing new to Nickelback, though. Nickelback was named “most successful rock band of the decade” by Billboard in 2009 and has lived up to the name.
According to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Nickelback follows only the Beatles as
the second best-selling act of the 2000s.
Some of the many nominations and awards Nickelback has received are five Grammy
nominations (2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, & 2010), two American Music Awards (2006 & 2007), inducted in the Canadian Walk of Fame (2007), one nomination for People &'s Choice Award
(2011), and many others.
However, Nickelback is not only known for their studio albums but also their
soundtracks in many popular movies and shows. Such as The Punisher (2004) and Transformers: Rise of the Fallen (2009).
