Mike Evans, The Tampa Bay Buccanners Wide Receiver has just signed a deal to a two year contract to continue playing with the football team for the up and coming season.
Evans was set to go into free agency after the season had come to an end. However Tampa Bay won him over again with a new contract.
It is the Buccanner's General Manager's, Jason Licht's goal, to keep most of his team together from this season for this upcoming season.
Evans could have been offered a higher contract by any other team but did not end up going any where else after this contract was offered to him.
This contract consists of a $52M dollar deal, where he will most likely play for Tampa Bay the rest of his football career.
Evans will earn $26M a year for the next two years that he plays.
This marks a nearly $10 million per-year leap from the five-year, $82.5 million extension Evans signed in 2018 that he played out with the Buccanneers.
Evans turned 30 last season but nothing has slowed him down. He still finds ways to catch passes and score touch downs and bring wins home for the team.
Last season he made 13 touchdowns and ran for 1,255 yards and tied for the most yards in the NFL.
After last season he is still considered to be one of the top players.
The Wide Reciever, has been one of the most profilic players in Tampa Bays history. He has genertated 10, 1,000 plus recieving seasons in the decade that he has been playing with the team. Evans numbers are more then closer if not more then one of the all-time greats such as Chris Goodwin.
The Buccaneers had every intention to keep Evans on, there was much though that the Wide Reciever may go elsewhere for the new season.
Other offseason free agents that are high profiles will consist of Safety Antonie Winfield Jr. and Quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Now that Tampa Bay has gotten one of its Wide Reciver's back, they will begin working with the Quarterback to make things happen for the new season.
